- This one-day workshop is aimed at non-native speakers of English who need to improve their Business English quickly and effectively in a one-day intensive seminar.
- Set in a villa in Bad Homburg, participants take a day out of their busy lives to concentrate on the main communication aspects of Business English in a hands-on, fun way.
- Prior to the seminar, participants are asked to take an online test, so we can ascertain which “First Friday” group is best for you.
What’s in the Workshop?
The workshop is a journey through a number of short modules each focussing intensively on a language topic. Are you ready?

| 08:30 - 09:00 | Kick–off with Coffee and Croissants Meet the other participants, hear course objectives from your Trainer |
| 09.00 - 10:30 | Small Talk and Networking Greetings, introductions, social conversation, networking, news, humour…. Key target phrases and practice of small talk situations |
| 10:35 – 12:00 | Let’s write! Key phrases for email correspondence. How to be polite, clear and correct when writing. Useful sample writing templates will be handed out that can be referred to following the seminar. |
| 12:05 – 12:45 | Let’s speak English, not Denglisch! This short module looks at the common mistakes made by German speakers of English. False friends will be highlighted and the correct phrases given in a handout. |
| 12:45 – 14:00 | Buffet Lunch Enjoy practising your small talk skills with other participants! |
| 14:00 – 15:00 | Enhance your Word Power! Tips on how to build your general and business vocabulary. Mind maps, word partnerships, synonyms, prefixes and suffixes. |
| 15:05 – 16:30 | Meeting Role-play Following input giving useful phrases for a meeting situation, participants will partake in a fun role-play on a topic chosen by the Trainer. Roles will be allocated carefully to each participant. |
| 16:30 – 17:00 | Feedback Session The Trainer will dive feedback on the meeting role-play and general pointers on grammatical or vocabulary areas that need addressing. |
