German Intensive Course for Beginners

Would you like to be able to deal with every day events in German?

Do you want to understand the basic structures of the German language and learn how to communicate in
real life situations?
Taking an International Language School German Beginners’ Intensive Course would enable you to do all this.
Study time is 9:00-12:00 Monday to Friday, for those on the fast track and Monday, Wednesday and Friday for those who want to take their time. In the afternoons you can practice what you have learnt!
Contents (rapid progress):

The main goal of the course is to build up your communicational skills, in particular speaking and listening. You will be confronted with a variety of survival situations where you will learn to express yourself in German.

The following situations, amongst others, will be covered:
  • at the station
  • at a department store
  • at the doctors
  • in a restaurant
  • telephone calls
  • appointments Work and leisure time
  • cross cultural information etc.
• Groups

As International Language School-German Intensive groups have a maximum of 8 participants, you will have plenty of opportunity to practice speaking in the classroom.
• Method

We follow the communicative approach to language learning, where fluency is more important than accuracy. You will be presented structures and new words in their most common context, and you will try to understand and imitate them. This results in rapid progress in your ability to speak the language and gives you the chance of getting a basic idea of its grammar.
