One day Intensive Workshop for the Pharmaceutical Industry
- This one-day workshop is aimed at non-native speakers of English from the Pharmaceutical Industry who need to improve their English communication skills in the areas of Quality Assurance and Auditing.
- Set in a villa in Bad Homburg, participants spend a day concentrating on the main communication aspects of Pharmaceutical English within the area of Quality Assurance and Auditing in a hands-on, fun way.
- Prior to the seminar, participants are asked to take an online test, so we can ascertain their English level.
What’s in the Workshop?
For over 20 years, ILSF has worked intensively with a number of large pharmaceutical companies providing high-calibre tailored training. The workshop consists of a number of short modules each focussing intensively on a language topic of relevance to the field of Quality Assurance and Auditing.

09.00 – 10:30 | Introductions and Small Talk Key target phrases and practice of small talk situations within a pharmaceutical environment: Greetings, introductions, social conversation, describing yourself and your function to auditors. |
10:35 – 11:35 | GxP – Good Practice, Writing Practice Audit case-study: useful words and phrases. Drafting an internal memorandum informing staff of incoming audit! |
11:40 – 12:50 | Audit Role-play I Giving a short tour. Asking and answering initial audit questions. Trainer Feedback. |
12:50 – 14:00 | Buffet Lunch Enjoy practising your small talk skills with other participants! |
14:00 – 15:30 | Discussing SOPs Target language and the correct grammatical structures for describing processes, procedures, documentation and timing. Audit Role-play II between laboratory technicians and internal auditors. |
15:35 – 16:30 | The Audit Report Reading the audit report. Talking about non-compliance and suggested corrective action. Recognizing neutral and strong language when giving or reading recommendations. |
16:30 – 17:00 | Feedback Session The Trainer will give feedback on the meeting role-play and general pointers on grammatical or vocabulary areas that need addressing. |
